Teacher of Patience

Over 20 years after Emily Felter is diagnosed with Down syndrome, paramedic (and Emily's father) Tom develops a presentation to share her story with other first responders. As the Felters work to raise disability awareness, they come face-to-face with the struggles and joys of their daily lives.​

We have big plans for this film!

We will be screening and discussing the film with first responder agencies around the country, as well as including it in training programs. We will also share the film with businesses to include in their diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility programming. Finally, we will submit the film to festivals around the world, distribute it on educational platforms such as PBS, and host screenings and discussions for the wider community wherever possible.
